Quality assured

Made in the UK

Unlike most insoles, we are proud that our insoles are 100% made in the UK using high quality foams.

Dual Foam Technology

A dense foam at the bottom for support particularly around the heel with a softer less dense foam on top for comfort.

Anti-microbial lining

We finish off our insoles with patented Cambrelle® lining, (the world’s leading footwear lining), offering a comfortable, non-abrasive, moisture resistant layer, reducing the possibility of microbial growth.

Machine Washable
The foam we use is specially formulated so that the insoles can be machine washed at up to 40 C without affecting the insole performance. Many insoles can not be machine washed.

A personal choice

Choosing insoles

There are many types of insoles available and the choice can be a difficult one to make. Many insoles may feel comfortable but are lacking in true support for painful areas of the foot.

Invest in your feet

Some insoles can last longer than others and its important you invest in your feet as wearing poor quality insoles may cause you more problems in the long-term.

Relief for tender areas
Our unique patented design allows you to remove heel and mid-foot sections from the insole for tender areas such as corns, callouses and hard skin.

Shaped for stability

All of our insoles have a raised moulded lip to ‘cup’ the heel helping provide stability.

Consult your healthcare specialist

You will need to consider a balance between comfort, support and durability when choosing insoles. As are result it is always best to consult with your health care professional first if you have any on-going foot problems as in some cases you may need custom made insoles.

HOW CAN OUR INSOLES HELP?

Flat Feet (Ples Planus)

Flat feet are usually nothing to worry about. Many people with flat feet don’t have any associated problems, so treatment isn’t necessary.

But flat feet can sometimes be associated with:

  • pain in the feet, ankles, lower legs, knees, hips or lower back
  • the feet rolling inwards too much (overpronation) this can cause shoes to wear out quickly and lead to injuries
  • an underlying problem with the bones, muscles or connective tissues in and around the feet

Supportive insoles such as the Arch-PRO may be helpful.

Consider seeing your GP if you have flat feet and your:

  • feet are painful, even when wearing supportive, well-fitting shoes
  • shoes wear out very quickly
  • feet appear to be getting flatter
  • feet are weak, numb or stiff

Metatarsalgia (Pain in the ball of the foot)

Metatarsalgia is the name for ball of the foot pain. It affects the metatarsals, the bones connecting the ankle bones to the toes. They’re a common source of pain because they support your weight when you’re standing, walking and running.

Metatarsalgia can have a number of different causes, including wearing unsupportive footwear and doing high-impact sports.

It can be very uncomfortable and interfere with your normal activities, but will often improve with some simple self-help measures.

Supportive insoles such as the ARCH-Pro or META-Pro with their unique removable segments may provide relief for tender balls of the feet.

Consider seeing your GP if you have metatarsalgia and if:

  • the pain doesn’t improve despite trying self-help measures
  • the pain significantly interferes with your normal activities
  • you develop sudden and very severe foot pain or a change in the shape of your foot as this could be a sign of a more serious problem that requires immediate treatment

Other types of Foot Pain

Choosing insoles

Poor footwear can be a contributing factor to foot pain so it is important to consider the appropriateness and condition of your current footwear and make changes as necessary.

Footwear should;

  • Fit well
  • Not excessively compress the feet
  • Have a cushioned sole
  • Be supportive

Insoles or Orthotics can be useful in aiding recovery and can be purchased from a range of pharmacies and sport shops. Over the counter insoles will primarily aim to cushion your heel and support your arches.

Remember if your symptoms continue without improvement or are getting worse ask your GP to ensure you are doing the right thing.

The Ortho-Med insole range may provide  foot pain relief for other types of foot conditions such as plantar fasciitis.
